After one of his recent visits, the founder and editor of Cook’’s Illustrated magazine, cookbook author, and host of America’’s Test Kitchen recently weighed in on Fireworks and Executive Chef Matthew Blau.

My family and I often stop at Fireworks when we pass through Brattleboro. The food is simple, well-prepared and is one of our top go-to spots to dine in Vermont. It is always a pleasure.
There are a small handful of great chefs in Vermont and Mathew Blau is one of them. He understands the flavors of food and how to bring them out, not disguise them with culinary tricks. Eating at a Mathew Blau restaurant is always a singular pleasure.
